And with this last episode, it marks the first new series for me that I’ve completed since bootcamp. Sure took a while. Was it worth it?

Wow, really, Yukiatsu? You didn’t notice this girl had feelings for you after being all over you for like 10 years? Wow.

Friend zoning a cute preppy girl? WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT.

THE PROMISE… had me laughing for a good 2 minutes straight.

Finally! Geeze. Hah, jk. 

My thoughts on this episode and the series as a whole?

After finishing this show, I really feel like I’ve just watched way too many sterotypically anime shows. Honestly, I was laughing throughout most of this episode just because everything was so ridiculous.

Oh, I’ll give it that the drama wasn’t actually forced. They actually had some good reasons to be crying. But… for some reason, it FELT forced. I didn’t cry at all this episode. I was yelling at the screen because all the unrequited love after 10 years bullshit was suddenly confessed this episode.

And the whole crying to laughing sequence about the eyelash? No.

Don’t get me wrong, though, the last part of the episode (after the hide and seek bullshit/ridiciulousness) was pretty touching, actually. It actually got me to stop laughing. And the music did a pretty good job to help with that. 

I know it sounds like I didn’t enjoy this show at all, but I really did. I enjoyed it, but it had way too many anime tropes/memes/stereotypes throughout which really detracted from it.

But the art was great! The quality was kept up throughout the show. And the music was really good too! I’ll even say that the story was kinda good too!

The characters, though.. The characters were just pretty shitty overall. Stereotypical roles and personalities. Very unoriginal. And I wasn’t too happy about that. That was the first thing that I noticed about the show, and I said that in my post about the first episode.

BUT! If you’re new to anime, this could be a good show to watch to get into it a little deeper. Kinda like Angel Beats! was.

And just like Angel Beats!, I give Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutatchi wa Mada Shiranai AKA AnoHana, a 7/10.
