Why hello, I’m back! Well, sorta. I’ve graduated bootcamp and it seems like a lot’s come out in the time that I’ve been gone.. So I’ve decided to at least finish Mitsudomoe and Kimi ni Todoke 2…. and from this new season, I’ve picked up AnoHana and (of course) Nichijou.

Oh god, my nerd senses just tingled. Loving the Pokemon references throughout this episode. Also, she’s way too hot to be working in a game shop.

Fucking, dammit. Nandemonaiiiiii! Cliche #5123. Also, she’s obviously tsundere for Jinta.

HNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGHHHHH-

It’d be so awesome if our Pokemon were like that.

Anyways, my first impressions of this show?

I love the art and character design.

I am, however, bothered by the typical anime stereotypes each character portrays (so far… though by the looks of it they’ll probably break out of these molds.) We’ve got:

- Naruko - the hot tsundere for our main protaganist Jinta. Obviously too ignorant to acknowledge her feelings for him

- Tetsudo - the “EHHH? Sugeee!” sort of sidekick

- Meiko - the cute, flat chested, ignorant (though dead) female lead love interest

- Atsumu & Chiriko - the “holier than thou”, “I go to an elite high school” [semi] antagonists who’ll obviously become friends again with our main guy…

- Jinta - Our lead, wimpy guy who by chance gets a magical [in this case, dead] girl in his life that tries to complete his wish to his old [dead] crush. Well, the whole fulfill wish for a dead girl thing isn’t cliche, but being a wimpy male lead sure is.

…… Even so, I’m definitely enjoying it so far. The story seems decent, other than the stereotypical characters (which is just so hard to get away from these days) and the art is just really well done. I’m definitely continuing this.
